Every Service Runs on Zero Dollars
Plenty of clinics discount some services and bill quietly for others. At Southeast Medical Group, the fee for every service (testing, treatment, vaccines, PrEP, HIV care) is zero. No line item survives.
Spanish Speakers Get Full Clinical Dialogue
When a language barrier persists through a visit, the clinical conversation suffers: questions go unasked, instructions go misunderstood, and follow-through breaks down. Southeast Medical Group serves patients in Spanish and through interpretation for other languages, so the care delivered matches the care discussed.
PrEP Prescribed and Monitored On-Site
Southeast Medical Group staffs PrEP initiation and ongoing management directly: that means the baseline labs, the prescription, the regular HIV and kidney-function monitoring, and PEP prescribing. All handled by the same clinical team in Atlanta, not coordinated across separate providers.

Rated 4.8 out of 5 from 461 reviews
Georgia Infectious Diseases in Atlanta runs by appointment, so every visit is structured around your specific needs: the standard panel, sliding-scale fees, same-visit treatment for bacterial infections, and on-site management of HIV, hepatitis B, and hepatitis C from one practice.
Read full overviewShow less
Georgia Infectious Diseases prescribes and manages PrEP, including the monitoring labs required every three months to keep a prescription active, and carries PEP for post-exposure prevention. Having both under infectious-disease specialty care means neither protocol gets handed off to a separate provider.
Georgia Infectious Diseases holds the full arc of hepatitis C care (antibody testing, confirmatory RNA testing, and direct-acting antiviral treatment) within the same specialty practice. For anyone without a standing relationship with a gastroenterologist or liver specialist, that continuity removes a significant gap between diagnosis and a cure.
The baseline STI panel at most clinics covers HIV, syphilis, gonorrhea, and chlamydia. Hepatitis testing is frequently a separate referral. Georgia Infectious Diseases runs hepatitis B and hepatitis C tests alongside the standard four, so a single appointment produces a complete infectious-disease picture rather than a partial one.

Yager Family Medicine in Chamblee runs its STI panel through an appointment-based family practice, covering chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis, and HIV with same-visit treatment for bacterial infections; fees are billed to Medicare or insurance, with a direct fee schedule otherwise.

Yager Family Medicine prescribes both PrEP and PEP on-site, meaning the same physician who orders your labs also writes and monitors the medication. No hand-off to an outside provider. Follow-up labs, dosing adjustments, and ongoing prescriptions stay within one practice relationship.
Hepatitis A, B, and C Tested Alongside the Core Panel
Anyone managing care without a regular specialist, or whose insurer requires a single billing provider, benefits from a panel that extends to hepatitis A, B, and C alongside HIV, syphilis, gonorrhea, chlamydia, and TB. Yager handles that full scope in one appointment rather than splitting labs across providers.
Elysium Primary Care in Atlanta runs by appointment, bringing structure to visits that cover HIV, syphilis, gonorrhea, chlamydia, herpes, hepatitis A, B, and C, and TB testing: with STI treatment same-visit for bacterial infections, sliding-scale fees, and PrEP and PEP on-site.

Herpes and Hepatitis Testing Beyond the Standard Four
Elysium's testing menu extends to herpes simplex and hepatitis A, B, and C alongside the core bacterial and viral panel. A standing capability that serves anyone without a regular provider who needs a complete picture, not a partial one, in a single appointment.
Hepatitis C Diagnosed and Treated at the Same Address
Plenty of testing sites will confirm a hepatitis C antibody and leave patients to locate treatment elsewhere. Elysium carries that care through to active treatment on-site, so a confirmed infection moves directly into a management plan without a handoff gap.
Tenofovir-Based PrEP Prescribed and PEP Dispensed On-Site
Elysium prescribes PrEP, including tenofovir-based regimens, with the ongoing HIV and kidney-function monitoring those prescriptions require, and stocks PEP for post-exposure management, keeping both prevention tools within the same clinical relationship rather than fragmented across providers.

Mercy Care in Chamblee tests for HIV, syphilis, gonorrhea, chlamydia, herpes, hepatitis C, and TB on a sliding-scale fee with walk-ins welcome, and every service, from rapid HIV testing to same-visit bacterial treatment, is provided at no charge.

Mercy Care carries no fee across its entire slate: TB treatment, STI care, PrEP, hepatitis vaccines, and both rapid and conventional HIV testing all land at the same price: free. That applies whether a visit covers a single test or a combination of services on the same day.
Spanish Is a Full Clinical Language Here
Services at Mercy Care are delivered in Spanish, which means medication adherence counseling, prevention education, and HIV test counseling all happen in the same language. No lag between what a clinician says and what a patient understands when decisions are being made.
PrEP and PEP Prescribed and Managed On-Site
For anyone without a regular prescribing provider, Mercy Care's standing capacity to initiate and manage both PrEP and PEP closes that gap directly: no outside referral needed to start or continue HIV prevention medication, and the visit itself costs nothing.
Georgia Harm Reduction Coalition in Norcross covers gonorrhea, chlamydia, syphilis, hepatitis A, hepatitis C, and HIV testing, treating bacterial STIs the same visit and dispensing condoms and vaccines. All on a sliding scale with no cost to most people who walk in.

Every Service Runs Without a Bill
Fee-for-service clinics routinely separate testing from treatment, leaving patients to reconcile costs at every step. Georgia Harm Reduction Coalition absorbs the whole encounter (testing, treatment, vaccines, PrEP, PEP, DoxyPEP) at no charge, so nothing on the service menu carries a separate price tag.
Three Prevention Prescriptions, One Clinical Team
Georgia Harm Reduction Coalition prescribes and monitors all three prevention medications (daily oral PrEP for ongoing HIV protection, PEP for post-exposure HIV management, and DoxyPEP for bacterial STI prevention after potential exposure) through a single clinical relationship rather than separate specialists or referral chains.
Hepatitis C Treatment Delivered at the Same Address
For people without a primary care provider or managing hepatitis C costs out of pocket, Georgia Harm Reduction Coalition's standing capacity to treat, not just detect, makes the difference. Antiviral treatment for hepatitis C is administered on-site, meaning a reactive test doesn't end the visit; it starts the next clinical conversation.

Every Service Here Carries Zero Cost
Sliding scale at most clinics still produces a number at the end, a co-pay, a lab fee, something. At Center for Pan Asian Community Services, the scale bottoms out at nothing across the board: testing, treatment, vaccines, counseling, every line item. The fee is not reduced; it is gone.
Clinical Conversations Happen in Your Language
When a patient can't fully explain symptoms or history in their primary language, the clinical picture is incomplete, and so is the care. Center for Pan Asian Community Services conducts care directly in Chinese, Spanish, and Vietnamese, with interpretation available for additional languages, keeping nothing lost between a patient and their provider.
Substance-Use Treatment on the Same Care Plan
Most STI clinics treat the infection and leave the underlying risk factors for someone else to address. Center for Pan Asian Community Services integrates substance-use treatment into the same setting, so a patient whose STI risk is tied to substance use gets both addressed without splitting care across separate providers.

Dekalb Public Health, Chamblee's county health department, routes STI care through the same infrastructure built for population-level disease response: rapid and conventional HIV testing, the full bacterial panel, same-visit treatment for bacterial infections, and walk-in access, all at no fee.

Zero-Dollar Care Applies to Every Service Listed
The no-fee structure at Dekalb Public Health is not tiered by income documentation or insurance status: it runs across the entire service menu, from the TB test and Mpox vaccine to STI treatment and hepatitis screening. Sliding-scale fees exist for those who need them, but the floor is already zero.
Spanish Is a Staffed Clinical Language Here
Spanish-language services at Dekalb Public Health are delivered by staff, making it a working clinical language across counseling, prevention education, and partner notification. Not a communication workaround layered onto English-language care.
Hepatitis B and C Testing Sits Inside the Standard Visit
Alongside HIV, syphilis, gonorrhea, and chlamydia, Dekalb Public Health tests for both hepatitis B and hepatitis C. Meaning a single visit can surface bloodborne infections that often go undetected until liver damage has already progressed.
Beyond the dedicated testing centers above: at-home kits by mail, hospital labs certified for STI testing, local clinicians who can order a panel during a regular visit, pharmacies for self-test kits and prescriptions, and online PrEP & treatment.
The nearest testing center is about 1 mile away; if you'd rather skip the trip, an at-home kit ships to Dunwoody, you collect the sample privately, and mail it back to a CLIA-certified lab. Results come online in days, with a clinician available if anything is positive. Same labs as a clinic, no waiting room, and you can read how accurate at-home STD tests are before you order.
Want a free option first? The CDC-supported TakeMeHome (opens in a new tab) program mails free at-home HIV self-test kits, and, in many areas, free STI kits, to your door, with no insurance or payment needed. The paid kits below add broader panels and faster turnaround.

Reading these numbers: reported case rates only count infections that were actually tested for and diagnosed, so they track local screening effort as much as true spread: a higher rate can reflect more testing, a lower one less. Either way, most STIs cause no symptoms, so treat the figures above as context rather than a verdict, and test on the CDC's schedule regardless of how your area looks.

Among DeKalb County residents living with HIV, 86.3% know their status · 79.7% are in care · 69% are virally suppressed. Pregnant or planning to be?
Congenital syphilis is the fastest-rising STI: what to test, and when
Congenital syphilis, passed from parent to baby in pregnancy, is the fastest-rising STI in the country. U.S. cases climbed from 2,163 in 2020 to 3,882 in 2023. It is almost entirely preventable: the CDC recommends a syphilis test at the first prenatal visit, and every clinic and lab listed for DeKalb County tests for syphilis.

Village Mill and Village North draw a steady share of Dunwoody's younger renters, people a few years into careers, navigating the stretch between a first real paycheck and the point where buying near Peachtree Industrial Boulevard feels plausible. That life stage, the late teens and mid-twenties especially, coincides with the years when STI rates run highest, and the rhythms of it, long commutes on I-285, split schedules, rent at a level that leaves little margin for surprise costs, are exactly the conditions that make routine screening easy to defer.
Dunwoody skews toward stability in some ways: the majority of households own their homes, more than half of adults are married, and nearly half of all households clear six figures. But a substantial renting population at typical monthly costs that leave modest room for discretionary spending means that fee transparency and appointment flexibility matter more than the aggregate income picture suggests. The options listed on this page include sliding-scale and low-cost visits that work alongside, not against, that reality.
Getting to those options requires a car for almost every resident. Dunwoody's street grid funnels toward GA 141 and the Perimeter, so a clinic a few exits away is genuinely close, and most listed here sit within that driving range. Knowing which one fits your insurance or your Tuesday morning off is what actually moves a screening from planned to done.

Confidentiality & consent in Georgia
Minor consent and partner treatment (EPT) under state law, plus how to test privately
Two things that actually depend on Georgia law: who can consent, and whether partners can be treated without their own visit. Everything else about testing privately is the same nationwide (see below).
Can a minor consent on their own?
In Georgia, a minor of any age can consent to confidential STI testing and treatment on their own, no parental permission is required.
Can my partner be treated too? (EPT)
Georgia permits Expedited Partner Therapy (EPT): if you test positive for chlamydia or gonorrhea, your provider can give you medication (or a prescription) to pass to your partner, no separate exam or appointment needed for them.
Keeping a test private works the same in every state. Whether an STD test shows on insurance (the EOB), how to test anonymously, and self-pay options that leave no insurance trail don’t change by location.
