Enter your FSH blood level with your age and where your periods are to see what a high FSH does — and doesn't — say about menopause. A single value swings in perimenopause, so it's a clue, not a diagnosis.

Open tool
Tool

Tool

Gynecomastia Checker

A private checker for enlarged male breast tissue (gynecomastia): it weighs whether the tissue feels like firm glandular tissue or soft fat, one side or both, tenderness, and the common contexts — and tells you whether the pattern fits and what a clinician should check. Usually benign, never a diagnosis.

Open tool
Tool

Scrotal Swelling Checker

A private checker for a painless or aching scrotal swelling. Answer a few questions about where it sits and how it behaves to see which common, usually-benign pattern it most resembles — a fluid hydrocele, a 'bag of worms' varicocele, an epididymal cyst, or a hernia. It's a pattern read, never a diagnosis: any new scrotal swelling should be examined, and a scrotal ultrasound is what clarifies it.

Open tool
Tool

Prostatitis Symptom Checker

A private symptom checker for prostatitis and chronic pelvic pain syndrome in men — pelvic or genital pain, painful or difficult urination, urgency, and pain with ejaculation — informed by the NIH Chronic Prostatitis Symptom Index. It tells you whether the pattern is worth raising with a clinician or urologist. A guide, not a diagnosis.

Open tool
Tool

Tool

Testicle Pain Checker

A private checker for a painful testicle. A guide, not a diagnosis, and nothing you enter leaves your device.

Open tool
Tool

Endometrial Thickness Interpreter

Enter your endometrial thickness (the "stripe" in mm from a transvaginal ultrasound) and your situation to see what the number generally means. After menopause with bleeding, a stripe of 4 mm or less is reassuring on that scan — but persistent bleeding still needs evaluation whatever the number. Premenopausal thickness has no single cutoff. Private, in-browser, not a diagnosis.

Open tool
Tool

PSA Test Interpreter

Enter your PSA result and age to see it in plain English, with the benign reasons a PSA can be high and the shared-decision framing the USPSTF and AUA use. PSA is a screening signal, not a diagnosis — this tool never tells you whether you have cancer, it routes you to the right clinician.

Open tool
Tool

Open tool
Tool

Perimenopause Bleeding Checker

A private checker for bleeding in the menopause transition: it sorts your pattern into expected-perimenopausal or a 'get it checked' pattern, and always flags the one rule that matters most — any bleeding 12+ months after your last period needs prompt evaluation. A guide, not a diagnosis.

Open tool
Tool

Retrograde Ejaculation Checker

A private checker for a dry or much-reduced orgasm. It reads whether little or no semen at climax — often with cloudy urine afterward — fits retrograde ejaculation, where semen goes backward into the bladder. It isn't harmful to your health, but it matters for fertility and a urologist can confirm it with a simple urine test. A guide, not a diagnosis, and nothing you enter leaves your device.

Why trust these

Built to a public-health standard

The internet is full of "STD risk calculators" that spit out a scary percentage with no source. Ours are different by design. Each tool is a transparent rules engine built directly on published guidance, the CDC's STI guidelines, the USPSTF, and validated screening instruments, not a black box.

Every result is framed as general information with a clear next step, never as a diagnosis, and every tool links to the exact sources it uses and the date it was last reviewed. And because they run on your device, using them tells us nothing about you.

STD tools: frequently asked questions

Privacy, accuracy, and what these tools can and can't do.

Are these STD tools really free?

Yes. Every tool on this page is completely free to use, with no account, sign-up, or payment. EasySTD is an information and comparison directory, the tools are here to help you make informed decisions and find testing.

Is what I enter private?

Yes. Each calculator runs entirely in your browser. Your answers, dates, symptoms, risk factors, are never sent to a server, saved, or shared. Close the tab and they're gone. The one exception is the anonymous partner notifier, which sends a message you write to a contact you choose, without revealing your identity.

Can these tools diagnose me or replace a doctor?

No. These are educational tools grounded in CDC and USPSTF guidance. They give general information and personalized next steps: not a diagnosis, prescription, or medical advice. Only a licensed clinician and a real test can diagnose an STI. Use the results to have a better-informed conversation with a provider.

Where does the medical information come from?

Every tool cites its sources, primarily the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF), and validated published screening instruments. Each page lists its references and shows when it was last reviewed.
